Despite sending numerous emails to Boutique 25 (all ignored) I've yet to recieve a refund on a cancelled booking made in early September 2023.
Me and my girlfriend Booked in here recently, the room was ok tbh , nothing special. The owner was “friendly” and greeted us etc. We left the hotel to get some drinks with friends, which also went well. Me and my girlfriend Returned at 11pm with a friend and we asked could he join us in our room for a few hour. The owner refused, this which was acceptable as we only booked for 2 people. I paid for another room next door for my friend for £130.. which is heavy if you ask me, but it was late and my friend had no transport home. So we book in and my friend joins me and my gf… we have a few sociable drink and my friend leaves for his room at 12pm . So it’s 1am , me and my girlfriend are sitting feeling tired and we get an EMAIL!!! It’s the owner, “ if you do not stop making noise and waking guests I am phoning the police. You had already been warned. So basically he hadn’t warned us about noise, and we went to lengths to not making noise in the first place. So basically this guy wants his guests who pay him money, not to talk above a certain decibel and threatens to PHONE THE POLICE !!😂wow. I’m honestly still in shock. What an idiot. Don’t book this place your not allowed talk in your room past 12pm 😂😂😂
Lovely rooms and the fellow who runs the hotel is very kind, helpful and personable. We booked Room 4, which has a large and luxurious bathtub which we greatly enjoyed. Initially, we were only staying in Skipton as it was close to the wedding we were attending, but thanks to Boutique 25 and the lively, beautiful town, we had a great time in town as well as at the wedding, and we are looking forward to returning some day soon.
Desperately in need of a makeover, but it does have a lovely comfy bed and lovely crisp and clean sheets. The promised toiletries were not there nor the fluffy gowns! The bathroom was lovely with a nice spacious walk in shower overall it's not bad (we only stayed for 1 night) the best thing about it is the location as it's right opposite wetherspoons and right in the middle of the town so traffic can be a bit noisy, oh and there's no on site parking so be aware as parking somewhere will cost you...
Cons - The carpet was lifting up, there was chunks of dust behind the TV and on the light in the bathroom. Bed was awful, the mattress was worn and both of us rolled into the middle. The frame itself underneath was held up with some blocks of wood. See photo. The furniture is worn, the desk, the side cabinets and the wardrobe. Pros - the gentleman who welcomed us was friendly and carried our case upstairs. The bathroom was clean, the were coffee and tea facilities. There was lots of space to store clothes. It's a quiet place Plenty of heating options, towel rail, radiator and extra stand alone heater. We left after 2 nights, had a third night booked but went to stay in a Premier Inn to be guaranteed a good night sleep.
