The food, drink, service time was fantastic. But the most amazing thing was that I received a very distressing and upsetting phone call when I was in this branch, and a member of staff noticed when they were serving our table and asked if I was ok. Later, a member of staff named Ricky came to the table to ask again if everything was OK and check in on me. I really appreciated the care and attention in that moment and that the staff took the time to ask if I needed anything. Thank you so much.
I like this pub a lot, good food, service is good. Great for family lunch or afternoon. Fantastic value for the drinks. It is a large pub with lots of space, but it does get busy, so tables run out at peak times...
Excellent Wetherspoons. Just visited on a pub crawl of Harwich (10.11.23 posting this when I have a spare few minutes !), real ales on the day were excellent and service very friendly and quick - lady serving even gave a choice of straight or jug half pints for my real ale sorry didn't catch her name. Nice interior and toilets, a well kept Wetherpoons that still feels new despite opening circa 2017. Nice clean toilets. Operates as a Wetherspoons hotel too but wasn't staying on this occasion. 👍 from me x
Visiting Wetherspoon pubs in England is one of our greatest pleasures. We probably ate and drank at around 25 different Wetherspoon pubs so far. But I can say that one of the best among them is "the bottle kiln". That was an outstanding experience. The service, particularly by Robin! such a nice gentleman was exceptional. He provided top-notch service that truly enhanced our visit. The pub was clean, the atmosphere was great, and it's evident that the staff takes pride in maintaining high standards. This one stands out for its excellent service and overall quality. Highly recommended!
A teatime visit with my grandaughter, she had a margarita pizza, apple slices and apple juice. I had scampi, chips and peas and a diet coke. The peas were not nice. Food was hot. Huge pizza for a child, she was happy with that, it was a very very thin base so was quite crunchy on the outside. The apple slices weren't the best, half the bag was bad. She ordered the kids ice cream with choc chips and sauce, it came and it was in a cardboard tub, we thought it was a scoop with the bits separate. She was disappointed with that. I opted for raspberry and white choc cheesecake. It had no taste what so ever. Overall OK food. Decent service. Nice friendly bar lady.
