Place is very nice. Service is a little slow but staff are friendly and helpful. also dog friendly which is great! Food is deliciousI had the steak and really enjoyed it, was just missing some peas or a mushroom but I really enjoyed my meal.
A good atmosphere near Kew Green; however the food was rather disappointing. By chance we learned a likely reason for this a few days later when we ate at The Sun Inn in Barnes (where the food was better) and noticed the menu was nearly identical. Turns out the pubs are affiliated, probably with centrally-prepared food, and the final prep was apparently not up to scratch on the day we visited The Botanist.
We had a lovely Sunday roast dinner with my friends. We all loved delicious food, excellent service, nicely spent afternoon. Highly recommend.
This is a large modern pub/restaurant with an inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and ample seatings. There were many corner and well placed tables for privacy, and it also has a nice small courtyard with outdoor seatings. The food is pretty average pub grub, nicely presented and competitively priced for the area. We enjoyed our lunch, although the patty in my bacon cheese burger didn't taste, nor looked like beef at all. It was possible that the chef used a vegetarian plant burger patty by mistake, lol, but it tasted nice, so I didn't make an issue of it.
Having spent a lot of time in Kew at the Kew Riverside homes over several years, but I’ve never been here. They redid the place recently. We had Sunday roast and some excellent dessert with an americano. Good menu with traditional food and some extras. Good cocktail and beer selection as well. The view of Kew Green is why you should consider it most
