Open seven days a week all year round, The Boat House café is a riverside café with calming surroundings and incredible views of Chichester Harbour -the ideal place to eat, drink and relax while tucking into a light (or hearty) breakfast, lazy brunch, lunch with friends or a romantic dinner. Enjoy free Wi-Fi and the daily papers while you sit on our light and airy dining terrace introduced last summer. We're dog-friendly too‚ so bring them along on your next visit to us! We are taking bookings and highly recommend doing so to guarantee a table. Please note however we have plenty of space to simply join us at your leisure or pop in for a couple of drinks. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are all available and made using locally sourced ingredients.

We ate out for lunch with our 2 children. It was one of the best meals out I’ve had in a long time! The atmosphere was relaxed, accommodating to dogs, and the food was excellent. We love sea food, and the platter certainly didn’t disappoint. Sophia’s service was perfectly timed. Not rushed, but not neglectful either. Would highly recommend, and we will certainly be back!
We have been here twice now once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times have been lovely with a lovely setting and friendly staff. Food a little on the pricey side however has always been enjoyable.
What a different place to last years setup. We loved it! Beautiful refit creating a great ambiance. Friendly, knowledgeable helpful staff. Prompt service with a great menu featuring lots of locally sourced foods. None of the above would have been used to describe it previously. Thanks team - we loved our supper with you tonight!
This cafe is surrounded by a large area of natural beauty for long walks and is in the middle of Chichester Harbour. Large space with quite a lot of seating. Service was a bit poor. Food was not bad but also not great except my gorgeous fish finger sandwich that was excellent 👌 I ordered fried chips to go with it, needless to say they were deep orange colour. Would be good to change the oil from time to time. free parking on site 🙏 will be going back and would recommend.
