Hubby took me to there for my Birthday, I was thoroughly impressed from entry onto the premises. The decor of the restaurant was quite lovely with comfy sitting, But what impressed us the most was the food! There wasn’t one dish we didn’t not absolutely enjoy! I had the juiciest, T bone steak, dripping with flavour, (best steak I’ve ever had to be honest) my husband had the flat iron chicken and it was cooked to perfection, the dessert came out and did not disappoint. As foodies we’ve tried a lot of Greene King pubs but this one by far tops the list in terms of food quality, value for money and great service. Giancarlo gave us exceptional service, and his recommendations was on point. Hubby now wants me to learn to cook chicken this exact way lol. We enjoyed the food and the experience. Lovely elegant place, beautifully decorated all through out. They have a large outside space that is covered, rattan furniture and I'm sure there's outside heating too. Perfect for the summer it seems! One thing I notice about places and that's decor and the toilets lol, they were modern had sensor flushes, very clean and they hand wash AND hand cream! Food was lovely I had the chicken ceaser salad, decently priced and very filling and tasty. My friend had a burger which she really enjoyed also. She has been a few times before and had the steak which she said was succulent. They are dog friendly which is a lovely touch. The only things I would mention is we were waiting quite a few minutes to be seated on not a particularly busy day. We were also placed in a bit of tricky place because of the dog being at the edge of our table infront of the steps of another table which was a bit awkward at times. Other than that we had a lovely time.. Thank you, I'll definitely be back for the summer!
The interior has changed dramatically since we were last in here. The decor is very stylish and the open fire adds great warmth to the atmosphere. The food has improved too. The young lady who served us was very attentive. Good selection of food and cash ales. Would definitely recommend.
Went about a month ago, and only just got round to reviewing, but had to as this place is amazing. Literally the epitome of incredible service......all other restaurants need to visit and take careful notes. Didn't have a booking, but they were only too happy to accommodate, and were so welcoming and helpful to us all throughout. They were really attentive to my elderly mum, allowing her to have a child portion roast as she can't eat much, and were extremely patient with her (even offering her a seat at a reserved table while we waited for ours to be set up initially). The food was superb and came out pretty quickly given how busy they were. Great quality and an exceptional experience all round. Kudos to all the staff and management.
A lovely place , decor and styling is exceptional, as well as the staff, great outdoor area also. The food quality was excellent, however for me personally the portions were a bit small (but I’m guessing that’s just the restaurants style). As you see I ordered a steak it was lovely, however a steak knife should be provided without having to ask, also there is a 10% service charge automatically applied to your bill, it should be made clear that it’s optional (we paid it it was only a fiver - effectively a tip ) . I’ve just docked 1 star for portion sizes as it’s just too small for me.
