Join us for fine local produce; freshly cooked and always served with a smile. From a light lunch and bar snacks to our famous Sunday Roasts, Arron and the team are renowned locally for serving drinks and delicious home cooked food throughout the week, all year round.
Only ever been here twice and both times could not believe how rude the staff were. The lad behind the bar is going to speak to the wrong person one day with that lip and attitude.. unbelievable. Had to bite my tongue several times at the snappy little so and so. Looking around at the staff everyone looks fuming, fed up and like they don't want to be there. Has something gone off? Are staff being treated poorly? The food was nice however we waited ages to be initially served and ages for our main. They ran out of what we initially ordered so just decided to replace it and serve something else without telling us. I will be honest it was nice though, but good food ruined by wait times and atmosphere created by staff - and no it wasn't busy at all.
First time at the boat inn for lunch for a very dear friends 70th birthday. I was blown away with this hidden gem of a beautiful public house. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing I had the boat inn burger and was very impressed. The food was that nice we have booked to try the carvery on Sunday. Would definitely Recommend
Lovely gem of a pub to visit. Large outside seating areas for those warm days. Plenty of seating inside also and a lovely warm fireplace for the winter months. Food has always been delicious with home made chips 😋 staff are friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend visiting 😊👍
My partner, friends and I come here a few times a month! Lovely food, great service, dog friendly and an enjoyable walk down along the canal! Would recommend to everyone who’s in the area or visiting!
I've been here lots of times over the years, and i have never been disappointed. The food is always of a really high standard with a great choice on the menu. The bar is always well stocked, and there is a wide variety of larger, ciders and IPAs on draft. The pub is a lovely place to sit outside in the summer and is dog friendly inside and out.
