This place is amazing! The food is always amazing with brilliant portion sizes, the staff are very attentive and helpful and we love coming here! Even on the quiet days with no band performing it’s still a lovely evening.
We had an absolutely incredible meal at Blues Grill and Bar last night. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. I am dairy-free, and they created a custom meal for me that was both delicious and satisfying. We started with the chicken wings, which were cooked to perfection and perfectly spiced. The dipping sauces were also delicious, and I especially loved the Spicy and BBQ sauce. For my main course, I had the steak, which was cooked medium and was excellent. The vegetables on the side were also cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The service was impeccable. Our waiter Katie, was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, and she made sure that we had everything we needed. She also went out of his way to make sure that my meal was dairy-free. I would highly recommend Blues Grill and Bar to anyone looking for a great meal and excellent service. We will definitely be back soon! Thanks guys :)
It's my birthday ! Haven't been to this place for probably 5yrs. It's a Saturday night , on the Barbican and it's busy. My Team were on Sky at 1230....sadly we lost. Been out celebrating ever since. Pub/restaurant hasn't changed much except there is no real ale on tap. Had some Jail ales in bottles instead. Sat outside in the sun with half of Plymouth. Had a blue cheese burger with all the trimmings ( it was huge ) and my beautiful lady had chicken fajitas. All very nice. Had to wait a while as there was a big party booking. Waitress was very nice and looked after us....
My family and I often visit this bar, as the food is wonderful. Went back for a visit this Monday, and had some Philly Cheese Steaks, the Fish Goujons, the Blue Cheese and Steak salad, and several other sides between us all. The garlic mushrooms were beautiful: fresh mushrooms in a delicious creamy sauce, seasoned to perfection. My Mum had Mac ‘n’ cheese, which we all pinched some of, because it was “da bomb”! But the star of the show for me was actually the mushy peas! These were made in house, and the chef has got that recipe down to a tea: just the right amount of mint, and I wolfed down the lot! Blues Bar and Grill is a smashing place to go for a meal on the regular, as they change the menu almost weekly, with new stars of the show appearing in the form of themed burgers and delicious seafood dishes. They also have new desserts all the time (we had Eton Mess and Rocky Road Sundaes). You will never get bored of this place! They have a great selection of drinks, too! The music is good, and at a suitable volume in the daytime so you can have a pleasant conversation over your meal without shouting. We took along my 5 week old granddaughter (who slept throughout) and she was not disturbed! I promise I’m not getting paid for this review (although if Blues want to offer me a bribe - please feel free)! You will not regret coming here - try it, you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
Incredible food. Great portion size. The King Ribs had plenty of meat on it served with tasty chips and salad. Remarkable meal. Will definitely be coming back for more. Me and my family were completely blown away by the taste, the portions, the setting, the interior decor and the service. Blown away.
