Situated in the older part of Sandiacre and opposite the old 1660 village lockup, for 'drunks and stray animals', this pub has recently been refurbished .Entry is into the bar, which uses dark wood, beams and the stove fire to good effect, creating a friendly and warm atmosphere. The rear of he pub offers seating away from the bar and a conservatory with a pool table. Three hand pulls are available, three regulars and one guest alternating on a monthly basis. Also Old Rosie Cider. Cobs available 7 days a week. Quiz on Mondays. Beer garden and large car park to rear.

Fantastic Pub with Great Landlord and Landlady who provide a safe environment where ladies feel safe even when not accompanied by their partners. This is a credit to the management who have years of experience running great local pubs for the very supportive local community. Excellent Beer too!
New landlord is extremely rude, miserable, judgemental and needs to take a refresher course in customer service. A friend had arranged to meet for new year's drinks here and arrived just before us, she had checked the smoking area to see if we had arrived and stood outside whilst she called to see where we were, only to be rudely told MOVE NOW!! and forced to stand on the pavement off the premises. Safe to say we are starting new year's drinks at the plough this year and will boycott bluebell here on out and tell everyone else to as well. I dares bet the decline in custom is down to the new landlord too, as previously the pub has thrived and used to be an enjoyable place to spend weekends and week nights. Disgusting service from an already declining pub. Safe to say our money will not be spent here when clearly this landlord doesn't value his customers old or new. Honestly appalled
Great "local" pub. Had all the feel of a traditional pub without the intimidating welcome you can sometimes find. Staff and punters friendly and relaxed. A lovely spot for a few Sunday afternoon jars.
I sometimes use the blue bell and sometimes after a ride out on my motorbike I have always found the place good and they especially like k9 good pub
A lovely pub run by lovely people, they made me feel welcome. They are kid friendly but the place doesn’t feel like a playground. It is the perfect local pub where you can have a drink and a chat
