It has just (March 2016) reopened after a makeover. Now with see through windows, stripped floor, bare walls and brickwork, large clear windows, small central assume original bar, one large open room now. Tons of space assume for match days.
I had my 30th Birthday at The BlackStock and they were so responsive and helpful in lead up, they were very accommodating. The were also really helpful on the night as well. The atmosphere was great, especially for January and once the DJ came on, it was a really fun party environment. It felt like a really nice local and friendly environment and I would definitely go back. Thank you BlackStock for a smashing night!!
Can't really rate the food as I've never had it, but this place is brill. Great for drinks with friends and an incredible atmosphere! Staff are also wonderful, definitely check it out if you're in the area.
Been here countless times and I always have a great time! Always a good crowd inside. Haven’t had to contact management until a few weeks ago. I was helped to make a booking and felt management did all they could to make my night happen. Unfortunately I didn’t get to attend that night due to work, however, the booking system works well. I have attended previously without bookings too- think it depends on the season
The greatest pub in the greatest city for the greatest team the world has ever seen. Never come across a more versatile pub catered for all audiences, whether that’s to enjoy a quiet pint and watch the world go by in Finsbury Park, singing non stop Arsenal songs after yet another famous win or dancing the night away to resident DJ: DJ Tommy 🔥 - he knows how to please any crowd. Always great vibes, amazing staff who want to serve you quickly despite huge crowds and a real party atmosphere. I tell everyone to come here, if you’re reading this that includes you 👀🫵
You couldn't really imagine that this corner of Seven Sisters Road and Blackstock Road would have anything much to offer, but you'd be wrong. This pub has an excellent vibe, far removed from what you'd imagine. It doesn't try too hard, because it doesn't have to. Seating inside is carefully curated, if that's a word that's appropriate. And there are some tables outside (which are brilliant, to be fair, for watching the maniacs coming down from Stroud Green, and all the randoms of Finsbury Park itself) but inside is great, too. Staff are attentive and on the ball. The (£21) bottle of house wine was decent enough (and the glasses were amazing!). We had a couple of bottles, and the atmosphere got better as we moved on from glass to glass. Was it only the alcohol? I don't think so, the sing-along and the staff genuinely looking like they enjoyed themselves helped! The playlist was brilliant, too! The toilets are clean enough (though a lock on the gents' cubicle wouldn't go amiss!) and the SIA guys on the door seem to have their head screwed on right, which I think is important where this place is. Do they cater for a particular clientele? Yes, absolutely, but ... I've been before, several times, and I'll come again: this is a brilliant pub in the heart of the community..
