About us

Open all day serving delicious food with a great selection of beer, IPA’s, wine and cocktails. We have something for everyone (including dogs!). Live music, pool table, board games, table tennis, a children’s toy box to entertain the little ones and free treats on the bar for our four legged, furry friends.

We show sports, have the biggest beer garden in Maldon and host fantastic parties if you have a special occasion coming up!

Located at the bottom of Maldon High Street we are in the perfect spot between the shops and Promenade Park.

We had the margarita pizza and the sharing combo. This place specialises in Greek food. It was brilliant food!

Wow what a find this was. The Black Rabbit ale was lovely and the fish and chips were the best we've had in a long long time. Nice games room at the back and plenty of TV's to watch the sport. Staff all very friendly too, we loved it.

We took part in our 1st pub quiz at The Black Rabbit on Thursday night. The bar staff, Ben & Beth were friendly and regularly visited our table collecting glasses and clearing empty plates - the food was really nice. Jade was a great quiz master and came round checking our progress. The atmosphere in the pub was lovely and the other customers were friendly too. A jewel in Maldon's high street.

This pub is so beautiful and had a wonderful atmosphere, we did go during the rugby so was very busy but the staff was still smiling and making sure everyone needs were met. With the food I was really shocked they had a vegan menu which was huge along side an amazing normal menu! I went for the Mac and cheese veggie chicken burger with fake bacon and BBQ sauce, oh my word it was the best burger I have had in ages! Thank you so much!!! My partner said his was really good too, plus the halloumi we had on the side. I really recommend this pub if your near it!
