Wonderful little pub. The food was delicious! Staff all friendly and welcoming. Open fire was lovely on a cold afternoon. Overall a really great visit
Nice country pub with a fire very welcome on a cold lunchtime. Service very good. Good menu and food lived up to it. Chips especially superb 👌. Apparently a good selection of beers.
Not the best experience. Had a lovely time there previously and decided to have dinner. Waited over an hour for our food while watching other diners receive 2 courses of food. Luckily, the atmosphere and the pub in general is lovely, so it wasn't the end of the world. However, our food arrived, and it wasn't up to the standard I experienced previously. Tough duck breast with an overly salty sauce and a mediocre overpriced chicken burger. Which did come with some awesome skinny fries to be fair. The bannofee pie was also predominantly cream and very little else. We did receive a round of drinks on the house for our long wait. But we did leave disappointed overall. No fault to the staff, they were very apologetic, and having worked in hospitality briefly, I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned.
Great food, unpretentious. I had the biggest steak and mushroom suet pudding I've ever seen. Probably won't move for the next week!
First time visit to The Black Horse Inn at Nuthurst,my partner Lin had roast beef dinner, and I had roast lamb, dinners were very nice, our server Hannah was very welcoming and looked after us,would definitely be going back.
