I recently held my sisters funeral wake here. Peter took this on at very short notice but did everything he could for us, including preparing a video presentation that was running on a screen from photos I gave him. We had one whole end of the pub reserved for us with quick and easy access to the bar. The food supplied was perfect (and excellent value) and easily enough for everyone who came and the staff worked flat out and were incredibly kind. Everyone that came commented on what a lovely pub it was and how it was the perfect send off for my sister. I'll never be able to thank Peter and his wonderful girls enough for everything they did for us. I thoroughly recommend the Black Boy as a great pub, with easy access and parking, plenty of variety and a lovely atmosphere provided by the locals.

We were looking for a place to hold a family gathering after our fathers funeral and decided to hold it at the Black Boy. The owner, Dilly, arranged extra staff for the day, arrange a fine spread of food, asked what music we would like and if we wanted to show pictures of dad on their screen. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and welcoming. This little country pub has limited parking, but that doesn't stop it getting busy.

Popular and lively local pub. Good for sport on TV. Friendly and efficient bar staff. Annual firework display of epic proportions - free but donations to Help for Heroes/Remembrance Day expected and much appreciated.

I held a family members wake at the Black Boy. The food was fantastic, and Peter and his team were absolutely amazing. A hard day was made so much easier in their safe hands. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you :D
