Nice pub-hotel, good inexpensive food. Location is good only because nothing else is remotely close to the Lotus Cars Factory. One might even say it’s walkable along country backroads, please be aware of traffic and don’t walk at night.
I like the place. Food. service.just something can't make me love it. We were 1 hour 40 min between seating and food today. 20 min before getting a drinks order. Lovely staff .just enough time in-between service to get wandering if you've been forgotten. Will still be going again when passing though
Friendly staff and tasty, well presented, well cooked, good quality food. I had venison bourguignon and my partner had seafood linguine. Both were very nice and we both said it was one of the best pub meals we'd had.
Called into the bird in hand for food on a business trip. I didn't stay in the rooms. What I can say the, the food was delicious, I had the slow cooked baby back ribs,I can absolutely highly recommended them. The portion size was massive! Came with chunky chips, coleslaw and salad. Loved it, also had dessert, a good portion of toffee cheesecake. Loved the food.
Lovely pub/restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Lots to choose from on menu but we all opted for the steak and ale pie which was generous with lovely veg. Waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Food was served promptly and well cooked. We have not eaten here for around 20 years but not sure why not! Will be visiting again very soon.
