Bilton Working Men’s Club is affiliated to the Club and Institute Union (CIU or C&IU) which is a voluntary association of private members’ clubs in Great Britain & Northern Ireland, with over 2,000 associate clubs.
The CIU was formed in 1862 and has two main purposes: to provide a voice at national level for working men’s clubs and social clubs; and to provide discounted products and services for its members.
Until 2004, the CIU had its own beer brewed by the Federation brewery in Newcastle but the brewery was taken over by Scottish & Newcastle in 2004 and now brews Newcastle Brown Ale.
The Working Men’s Club and Institute Union is now the largest non-profit-making social entertainment and leisure organisation in the UK, representing the interests and views of six million club members.

A great place with brilliant acts on every now and then. Great drinks prices with brilliant staff
Great place to relax and unwind drinks reasonably priced Listers Crisps fantastic bar staff friendly
Fantastic function room - spacious, has a stage, has a Sound/DJ booth, comfy chairs, generally amenable to good decorations. If your guests have a peculiar drink taste it's important to let them know ahead so they'd stock them cos you can't bring external drinks, and the variety here isn't wide enough.
