As the oldest public house in Sandhurst, dating back to the 18th century, the Rose & Crown is a part of the townโs history as well as a lively community hub in the home of the world famous Sandhurst Military Academy.
Weโre the perfect place to sit back, relax with your favourite drink in hand.
Good pub, usually has a good selection of ales, lagers. Reasonably priced wines. Nice and warm in the winter with a couple of log burning fires. Hood smelt and looked really nice, was almost tempted to get some even though I had already eaten.
Rad pub! I saw the South African ๐ฟ๐ฆ flag and just knew I had to cycle here. My first visit. I will be back again. -- 2nd review: What a kiff place to watch the rugby World Cup final. ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ฅณ๐
Well what can I say.... ED & Jacki are 11 out of 10 pub owners..... Bar staff are out of this world.... Always a great atmosphere and food is unreal with great selection of drinks to pick from..... Every wendsday music bingo or quiz gets us out the house and makes the week for us. All I can say is come down and experience for your self. And always free shots ๐ Danny x
Amazing night. They rescued my hen do and were fantastic. The food was amazing. Can't wait to go back for another meal. Lovely owners and a fab local pub.
We had dinner here on an evening, and we were impressed. There was plenty of car parking space with an outdoor seating and smoking area. The decor was both clean and modern with a good relaxing atmosphere. The menu didn't have a huge selection but is diverse, the portion sizes are just right and well presented. There is a good selection of wines, beers and spirits as well as soft and hot drinks. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent.

The Bird in Hand is quite simply a pub of two halves. On one side you have the wood panelled restaurant, warm and welcoming with the feel of a country house dining room. On the other, a traditional pub atmosphere.
