The Green Man in Hurst is a fine example of a Traditional English Country pub. It was awarded its first license in the 1600's and have been serving thirsty travelling tradesmen and villagers ever since.
Our Kitchen proudly offers traditional British fare with a focus on seasonality. We use the finest ingredients sourced mostly from local suppliers and producers and freshly cook everything for lunch and dinner every day.
During those rare summer months, you are welcome to enjoy our extensive beer garden with a play area to keep the children entertained and plenty of space in the shade if the sun gets too hot!.
Beautiful local pub and really cosy inside. Lady was lovely behind the bar and super helpful. We didn't eat but will be back once it's up an running for sure. Garden is fantastic for kids, they enjoyed the play area as well as hide and seek around the trees.
First visit to the green man pub and all I can is it absolutely won’t be the last!! The food is quite possibly some of the best pub food I have ever eaten. Absolutely delicious, fresh and generous portions ! Lovely pub, friendly staff and great food - what more could you want! Will be back to try their Sunday roasts !
We had a family gathering there recently, and it was lovely! The Sunday roast was really tasty and perfect, the desserts were fab too! The pub itself looks well maintained and is very pretty. There is a lovely little play area at the back of the garden, where the kids could let off steam without disturbing anyone too.
Wonderful to see this local reopened. Excellent roast, friendly service and lots of locals to keep the conversation going. Worth a visit if you enjoy good food in a traditional pub setting. Think this will be a definite winter favourite with the log fires burning.
Friendly staff, happy to make menu recommendations and really accommodating. We got a selection of nibbles as a shared starter, all really tasty. The venison scotch egg (with a runny yolk) was a particular highlight! Did note limited range of non-alcoholic adult drinks (only Heineken 0) so car drivers stuck to soft drinks. Unfortunately we were so stuffed from our starters and mains that we didnt get to sample the pudding menu but there was plenty that peaked my interest! Will be returning!
