About us

Overlooking West Ilsley cricket grounds, it is in the perfect spot to enjoy lunch and drinks while watching a game.

We are also conveniently placed for anyone walking The Ridgeway path wanting to relax for a while before continuing their journey.

Also of interest is the fact that West Ilsley is set right in the heart of Britain's horse training community, with two of the best trainers, Mick Channon and Denis Coakley having their stables here in the village.

Whatever your reason for visiting us, we are sure that you will enjoy yourself and hope you come back again.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Peter, Jacqui, Chris, Hayley and Wes.

Food is absolutely amazing. We'll definitely go back. Service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait. It's family friendly and the staff are really nice and lovely. It's probably the best food we've had in the area.

A wonderful village pub serving delicious food. I'm not sure what to say but this was one of the best pub meals I've had in a while. The gravy was great! Proper gravy is always great fantastic triple cooked chips too and a pie that was a real pie. My only complaint was some people having too much fun which is a bit Scroogey I know but they were very loud

The food was incredible. One of the best pub meals I've had in ages... the venison starter, bavette steak and rum baba were all lovely. Service was great, and it was pretty reasonably priced (200 quid for four of us, 3 courses and two bottles of wine) The pub itself is very pretty too. all decked out in Xmas lights. Would recommend

Amazing roast dinners and puddings today. The staff were really friendly but service was quite slow.

Very friendly staff and very quick service even though it was busy. We sat out the front of the pub in their beer garden, which had an excellent view of the cricket match that was being played opposite the pub. We were there at a Sunday lunch time and we had the roast dinners. The food was well presented, good portion size and very delicious. It’s a very dog friendly pub and I would definitely go again.
