Love this place. The food is always excellent and affordable. And they have some absolutely cracking ciders on at the moment. Long may it last.

The former queen of the Iceini Boudicca was known to be of dazzling red hair and fierce temper. She rampaged over the 14 hills of London and put to death every Roman man, woman and child in a spiteful revenge for being ravaged by a group of Roman soldiers. Today that spirit lives on in the red headed barmaid at the Hungry Horse in Bracknell, whose stare, sullen attitude and frankly contempt for anyone trying to dare order a drink was impossible to miss. It later turned out that her travelling tribe of a family were allowed to be loud, spill drinks and ravage the only decent eatery in Bracknell. Thankfully the frankly younger tastie Tradie barman did a better job at taking the food order to make me forget the queen of chaos. Not many tradies in tonight but ex tradies and some on downtime with the missus notable in the bar. For dinner I had the horseshoe onion rings and the home run burger (hot dog ontop) while my colleague had the gravy burger. Both delicious and a good deal on a bogof at £18. The waitress was friendly if not shy and the other staff don't speak to you if they don't know you, perhaps red haired hanna taught them to hate anyone new, who knows. I would come back for the food not the atmosphere it's a 3 from me. UPDATE : Having been contacted by the management I am pleased to say they took the issue in my review seriously as they maintain high standards of customer care in the Running Horse so everyone can have a great visit. As a deaf lad in a crowded place I didn't raise my concern with the manager at the time but I have no doubt from the conversations with them any issues would have been dealt with correctly.

Found hershall grimes and spring trap IN MY RICE. Think there was some cobwebs in my drink and a layer of skin on my curry. Great food every other time though. Was proposed to with one of the ring pops from the machine. 10/10 great experience.

The running horse and hungry horse are joint. There is loads of parking out the front and sides. There may be wheelchair access, but I didn't see it as we hicked buggies up the front steps. They have quite an extensive menu, and you can even create your own combo, good kids menu too. We were a very large group with a mix of adults to babies, and they accommodated us very well. The food was hot and tasty, and they done brilliantly to get 16 plates of food out at the same time with no mistakes. Well worth a visit and very reasonable priced.
