The lower score for room and location are for the following reasons; bathroom too hot. Pillows far too hard. Noise pollution ( Friday 4.30 am) ridiculous and no warning by hotel given. If you're in room 2 get earplugs. Tesco have 2 lorries and the delivery takes an hour and is NOISY!!! Service great. Clean rooms. Vvvvvvvv HOT water. Beware! Lovely cosy bar. Other reason for location despite by station you can't get a taxi as no stopping or parking so my friend had to walk home in dark. Very stressful. So if you need taxi organise beforehand a good meeting place. Also noisy noisy noisy. I mean it was ok but not restful. I missed breakfast as being awake in night meant I slept in and had to be at an appointment so...can't review food 😥
Rooms are basic but very clean, nice decorated and warm. Good value for money, great location for the train station and for exploring the city centre. Would stay here again.
The room was of decent size, appeared clean and generally had required facilities. The hot water on the first night was not hot! The mattress was comfortable but the pillows, lumpy and neck busting. No service at night meant that you couldn't complain about the noise. We were woken by a very selfish woman screaming at her partner for half an hour at 3 am! Service during the day was pleasant. However, it served both the bar and the hotel. Therefore, a long wait to check in or out. Location was very good for travellers. Close to the train, tram and buses. Express market below, and food nearby. Overall, it was secure and provided some rest. Please get memory foam pillows. Travellers need rest .
Stayed one night whilst visiting friends in Nottingham. Great location if you are travelling in by train right next to the station. Overall the place was much better than I'd been expecting. Everywhere was clean, staff friendly and pleasant enough room. If I was staying for more than a night or two then the shared bathroom arrangement might be a problem. We were on the top floor and the shower in one bathroom was no more than tepid and the other bathroom was permanently locked on the morning we were leaving. The continental breakfast was ok. Would definitely stay again when visiting Nottingham.
Love this hotel! It has a quirky shabby chic interesting decor. The gentleman who greeted us was friendly calm and informative. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The lady who served at breakfast was also friendly and efficient. Our room was clean, bright, great bathroom, good toiletries, thick towels. The room was warm on a very cold day/night. Will definitely be booking this hotel again.
