The food is very good, so it’s a shame about the service. On the day we went they had run out of normal chips and we were told they did have the ‘upgrades’ ie sweet potato fries. On the menu these were £3.45 to upgrade. We had thought that since it was their error in running out of chips, an alternative would be given free of charge. However after ordering we were told that the upgrades are still charged as normal. So your only option is to pay the price of a full meal and not receive half of it, or pay for an upgrade. Whilst I am sure that this was an unusual situation, it was very poor customer service. Even on querying the price we were told there is nothing they would do.
I had a lovely meal here this evening. The manager was amazing very attentive we wanted pizza but they had none left so she offered us 25% off our whole meal! Great burgers, lovely 241 cocktails and lovely service would eat here again! Thank you
Due to the fact we couldn’t even get in due to our friend being rejected to power hungry security guards at the door. Root cause to this is going to the door and our friend getting questioned that “does he need glasses” which 1. Is not a reason to not letting someone in due to excusing him to not have 20 20 vision when in fact he does specially when he does and when he has his ID with him! 2. Then arguing with us for pointing the obvious that he is old enough and no excuse for this. We used to love going to this pub but due to this, it has ruined our experience and wouldn’t put any blame to any of the staff inside. Please sort out your security to make sure they get their information correct as this one of the worst decisions or excuses I’ve ever heard in my life and would love an explanation to this.
The food is great. Especially how they make the burger bun and the wrap look is just fantastic. The service has room to improve to be more attentive and proactive.
Excellent sports bar which has a great range of cocktails and on tap larger. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cocktails were spot on and taste pretty good. 2 for £10 during 5-7pm happy hour is worth making most of.

Very traditional pub with a number of tiny oak panelled rooms.

The Saracens Head in Bath is a charming traditional pub at the heart of the Roman town of Bath. Our menu is in the best tradition of British pub food. Best enjoyed with a drink, friends and a warm welcome at the Saracens Head.
