I’ve lived in Torquay my entire life … if you are local and haven’t yet found this little Gem 💎 where have you been !!! Great food , if you’re visiting the sea food platter is a must !! But not only that this is where to come if you want to go where everyone knows your name … they have the best team in the place who will make your entire experience a great one … they get very busy in the summer so prepare to book ahead , especially on band nights xxx 😍🥰
Absolutely phenomenal food and customer service. Our waitress Maisie was cheerful and attentive every step of the way. We had our work’s Christmas meal here (Christmas menu) and the food was beautiful. Everything was perfectly seasoned, I savoured every bite. They had specialty ales, mulled wine and amazing coffee. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming and the facilities were clean and well looked after. Me and my husband will definitely be recommending to everyone and will be bringing the whole family next time.
I spent approximately four hours at Below Decks during the daytime, focussing on work. The location is great and the staff were very friendly. I had a combination of tea, coffee and Ale, as well as a freshly cooked pasty. The atmosphere was really enjoyable, as was the selection of music. I shall return when I next visit Torquay. Thank you for an enjoyable experience!
Stopped for some lunch the food was good overall, its a nice location facing the harbour, they also have seats at the harbour side. The Below Decks burger was large and well cooked, but needed more sauce, plus the pulled pork didn't add much to the flavour, probably just get the regular burger with bacon next time. Cajun Prawns were the same as you get everywhere. Cheesy Fries were good, cheese had some taste and was melted.
