There are 3 pubs in Tayport. This is by far the best one due to service and food. The owners take pride in making sure they serve with a smile and remembering your order and name. Food is excellent. It's Indian however it does offer a European menu too. It is a small town pub so it can range in how busy it gets.

We were in the pub only, so I can't vouch for the food, although I have heard lots of people say good things about it. With regard to the service, it is the friendliest service I have ever experienced. The people at the Bell Rock are the nicest people and I would highly recommend this place based on service alone, although the food is also said to be pretty good and the place has a good ambience. I'll definitely be back and would certainly recommend it.

Me and my partner came here the other week and it was an odd experience. Firstly: the advertisement for this place was a "traditional pub" so we expected to walk into... well... traditional pub with traditional pub food, however the place is more so a curry house - which isn't bad of course but I feel we were misled as we were on the hunt for traditional pub food. When we entered it wasn't very clear where we were supposed to go, a poster told us that to eat you go upstairs so we did... when we got in though the entire place had the lights off. We were eventually guided to where we could sit but the customer service wasn't that great - it all felt a bit awkward. The area was deadly silent, we were the only ones there! Maybe due to the time I'm not sure, but it was a rather cold atmosphere and felt as if there was no heating on what so ever which isn't amaizng for the end of November. We ordered food, just simple lentil soup for myself and a tikka masala for my partner. He seemed to enjoy his food well enough but the soup was completely flavourless and they didn't have any bread to side with it either, so I was left to eat an entire large bowl of flavourless soup by itself. This isn't really the workers faults but someone came in half way through our meal with a young, untrained puppy who was allowed to roam free the area and ended up jumping up on us during our meal - not very hygienic so don't understand why companies allow dogs in places you eat. If it was a guide dog I would understand because they are heavily trained and professional animals.
