A really nice pub in a very quiet hamlet. Staff are friendly and there is a good range of drinks available. There is a restaurant but I didn't eat any food. There is a nice outdoor area, also. I had a really enjoyable evening here.
Eaten here a number of times over the last few years. This was our first visit since it’s changed hands and we weren’t disappointed. Enjoyed a superb meal (btw the warm chocolate mousse with raspberry sorbet was incredible) in a relaxed atmosphere, the service was great and the staff were friendly accommodating my dietary needs. Look forward to visiting again soon!
Wonderful location with fantastic high quality food. Lovely place to see in the summer evenings before wandering back home ;)
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful so I cannot fault them, however we were left disappointed with our lunch meals; the ploughman’s consisted of 2 slices of meat; 2 wedges of cheese, 1 slice of bread and some salads/pickles. I felt this was an incredibly small portion for £12 and left the platter looking (and my belly feeling) bare. What was on the platter was tasty, but there simply wasn’t enough. Similar story with the charcuterie board unfortunately.
We were staying in Green Lane Yarpole for a long weekend, we wanted to eat at the Bell as it was only a 2 minute walk from the bungalow we were renting and managed to get a booking for Saturday evening. Our table was ready for us when we arrived for our booking at 7pm. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed delicious starters including Squab Pigeon from France and mains included Sirloin and brisket steak and venison. With Lemon meringue with poppyseed to finish. This lovely community restaurant pub in the quiet village of Yarpole deserves every support when visiting this beautiful part of the UK.
