Visited there wensday 17th January for a family birthday meal .absolutely atrocious. My first course was still frozen and the rest of the family had garlic mushrooms that was rock hard.the mains where straight out of the microwave salmon was under cooked and the chicken was fresh 3 weeks ago disgusting meal and language coming from the kitchen no wonder the restaurant was empty u live and learn!!!!!!!!
Spent a while looking for a dog friendly restaurant that can also house children, and found this on our 4th attempt. And we were all very glad too. The food was great, I thought the roast was fantastic in fact, and my dog absolutely loved the place. The dog roast dinner was more of a kids roast dinner served in a dog bowl! Suffice to say, I'm not sure he would go back tomorrow! If we're ever in the area again, this is an instant visit.
After recently arranging a funeral reception for a very dear friend I would like to praise the amazing support myself and the family received while arranging this, we arranged to meet Nicola who kindly worked round a time that was convenient for the family, the family felt at ease as soon as they met her every detail was carefully planned and arranged to the families exact requirements, a private room was arranged which we were allowed to decorate to celebrate his life, on the day of the reception everything was laid out beautifully and the food and cakes were delicious, I absolutely recommend Nicola for anyone who is looking for a venue to hold any form of occasion. Thank You Nicola for outstanding service.
Can’t fault the location of this old coaching inn. Very central and in a potentially very attractive old building. Visited initially for a drink. Decent bar with a couple of gaming machines. The beer was Amstel. Good atmosphere Came back later for food. Very quiet. Food was disappointing - overcooked lasagna and pate had run out. Happens sometimes; guess we picked a bad time. Didn’t stay in hotel so no comment on that. Overall would drink at again, probably not eat.
Only had a meal here but found this hotel to be really nice, large downstairs rooms, restaurant was clean and staff friendly, dog friendly in bar. Meals were nice, doggy menus to which was really nice touch. Looking forward to going back. Very central location
