Just popped in and had superb lunch at The Bell. Excellent, friendly service and pie of the day was delicious. Best steak and ale pie I can remember having.
New year day walk finished at the Bell Inn for a spot of lunch. Been here once before and had a really nice meal so after our walk was ready for some good food. We were made to feel welcome by the staff and even though there was no space in the restaurant we were told we could grab a table in the bar area and order food from there. My wife had the venison steak and I opted for the shepherds pie and whilst I was far from disappointed as mine was delicious I had food envy over my wife's selection it looked and tasted divine cooked perfect. So just want to say thank you to the staff and owner for giving us a fantastic start to the New year
We had Sunday lunch, we didn't stay there so can't rate the room. Roast beef & Yorkshire puds were lovely. Only took photos of the pudding, which were nice.
We went to Westonbirt arboretum and called in to the Bell for lunch. The restaurant was very busy and the gentleman out front found us a table. We ordered our food and drinks and waited a short time before food arrived. The service was excellent as was the food. We will definitely go again. 🙂
We went here for a birthday meal. Two of us had the Banofee pie. Served in a glass cup. I'm sure the chef was very pleased with their "creation" but had they actually tried to eat it. As the cup wasn't served on a plate, every time I put the spoon into the desert some of it fell onto the table. This meal is of course very stickly. I mentioned this to our waitress, that it would be better to have the cup served on a plate but she wasn't interested. The we tried to pay with cash, some of which was from our recent holiday in Scotland. Three Bank of Scotland £20 were refused. Why! They are legal tender so there should not have been a problem! Not impressed overall.
