Group head chef Ronnie Kimbugwe has created a series of menus full of twists on an array of classic British dishes, with a focus on local, sustainable and, above all, quality ingredients. The restaurant with its open kitchen allows diners to watch the chefs at work, adding a touch of culinary theatre to the dining experience.

Ellie the manager swearing on the phone to me when they gave the rooms we were going to have and inquired about first to someone else. Much better service elsewhere.
Great little pub with rooms. Food is outstanding, rooms are great but showing the signs of being well used - understandably! Interesting to see complimentary Sloe Gin and Glenfiddich in the room for a nightcap 🥃
Just had the most lovely cider and met the most wonderful, helpful folks. My sister and I had a wonderful walk from Free Folk to Kingsclere exploring Watership Down and the wonderful staff at the bar saved us some walking and helped us find a ride back! Delightful place with amazing people!
Came here for my sisters birthday meal, food was great, the service was excellent. Nicely decorated venue. This is a really nice pub with that little bit extra. Didn't stay so I can't comment on the rooms but if the pub is anything to go by I should imagine they are very tasteful.
Went for a Sunday roast with my Mum today and we both said how utterly lovely and brilliant the staff were. Friendly and first class service. The Roast Beef was amazing!!! Cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you Bel & Dragon!
