First time I've eaten in the Bees Knees. Amazing food, open fire, relaxing, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back again We had a mixed platter, so much food, incredible flavours. Beef, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, all cooked on their smoker. With coleslaw, peppercorn pineapple.
Great food and wonderful local service. We really felt at home. 4 of us had drinks, an early dinner and desert. The staff could not have been more accommodating. A very friendly atmosphere and lots of choices, including barbecue ribs which were delicious. So was the salted squid appetizer. Do try it. It's also available as a main course. So we'll, next time!
Fantastic food and comfortable surroundings! Beer well maintained and reasonably priced. Enjoyed a meal as a couple; ordered calamari and a BBQ platter (a pictured). Generous portions to suit all palettes including sauces and seasoned fries. Will be back again soon; it's a slightly hidden gem!
I had the most fantastic experience at Cheeky Swine Smokehouse and Grill in Cirencester. From the moment I stepped out of my car, the mouthwatering aroma of smoked meat enveloped me. As I entered the pub, the back area greeted me with a delightful outdoor space adorned with tables and a covered area, complete with smokers, perfect for both sunny and rainy days. The BBQMates reverse flow smoker, alongside the ProQ cabinet smokers, showcased the establishment's commitment to high-quality BBQ. The friendly and comfortable bar area, complete with TVs for sports enthusiasts, added to the welcoming atmosphere. Neil, the passionate and friendly landlord, truly stands out. His dedication to authentic BBQ is evident in every bite. The brisket is an absolute standout, perfectly cooked, while the pork is simply incredible. The pub's family-friendly environment and disabled access make it an ideal destination for all. Overall, Cheeky Swine Smokehouse and Grill is a hidden gem that I can't recommend enough. The combination of delectable smoked meats, inviting ambiance, and the genuine passion of the staff, especially Neil, make it a must-visit spot in Cirencester.
The Cheeky Swine at the Bees Knees (at the Plume of Feathers) is a really good neighbourhood pub. The staff are attentive and friendly, the interior itself is clean and well thought out and the owners have been careful to retain all the character of this century old pub despite the recent renovations. However, it is the food which really makes this place stand out, the Cheeky Swine crew have a really good menu of barbecue and smoked food with really creative herbs, seasoning and sauces cooked over maple wood fresh every day. We have only been there a few times, but everything we have had has been really good. Even normal sounding things like burgers and fries are bursting with flavours which make eating here really special. A great combination of down to earth, friendly and charming local pub with unexpectedly fantastic food! Thank you, keep up the hard work and welcome to the neighbourhood!
