The Beer Engine opened in 1983 as a pub and brewery, converted from the Railway Hotel (originally built in around 1850)
The pub has a pretty garden and a wonderful first floor balcony / terrace.
The following beers are brewed in our micro-brewery:
- Rail Ale 3.8% abv
- Piston Bitter 4.3% abv
- Sleeper Heavy 5.4% abv
- Silver Bullet 4% abv
The Beer Engine serves a wide variety of food and gets fresh fish from the port in Brixham.
The pub is situated in the Mid-DEvon village of Newton St Cyres, in the beautiful countryside close to Exeter.
