About us

The Beehive is a very welcoming family orientated pub and restaurant, situated just around the corner from The Macron stadium. We have a large restaurant with four main sections able to seat over 130 guests, so there´s room for everyone.

We have an extensive menu that caters for all; with great value for money with something for everyone. We also run a lunch club during the week, two courses and a drink for £5.99. There is a separate bar area with full Sky and BT Sport coverage so you´ll not miss a game! You can have a few games of pool with your mates, or just have a drink and relax.

Adjacent to the restaurant is our Wacky Warehouse, one of the best indoor play centres which kids just love! All children can come and have fun and even the little ones are looked after during our Tots time in the mornings. We also have three amazing party packages designed to suit all needs.

Upstairs out of sight we have a private function room with bar and independent access where we are able to cater for up to 80 guests for a variety of events and meetings.

We had a very enjoyable experience today. A big thanks to the staff who provided us with a prompt and friendly service. When there was an issue with my burger specifically, I was offered a full refund by the manager on duty. We felt very welcome by all the staff, especially with our two crazy kids running around the place. We would certainly recommend the place as a family friendly joint that does good food at a very reasonable place. Will be visiting in future.

I review a lot of places and I believe in giving credit where credits due. I can't really think of anything nice to say about this dire place. Went for breakfast and it wasn't a great experience. Worst breakfast in Bolton. It's really that bad. Ordered vegetarian breakfast and the ultimate breakfast. Firstly, was told we wouldn't be getting mushrooms because the chef is allergic to them. Not a known allergen, and to be honest, sounds made up. If you're allergic to fungus, athletes foot or any other fungal infection must be a life threatening event. Wasn't offered a replacement. Ordered two orange juices and what we received were glasses of ice with a small amount of orange juice. Wasn't offered the option not to have ice, and I believe to remain in compliance with various food labelling laws, it should be called a glass of ice with orange. A joke. At home does this person go to the fridge for orange juice, then fill the glass with ice first? No one I know does that and you should be asked if you want ice, especially at the price we paid. Over £20 for a kids breakfast and adult breakfast and 2 or age juices. It's Horwich, not London. Breakfast themselves eggs barely cooked to the point where they were still see through. Unlimited toast is getting 4 slices - told to ask for more when you run out but that only works if everyone doesn't vacate the customer facing section. While I was waiting and breakfast went cold, a staff member from the wacky warehouse came in and asked is no one around. They then went to find someone. On the subject of poor service, on a previous visit I asked if I could have scrambled 3gg instead of fried. I was told there was no facility for scrambling eggs on site. Really? Why is scrambled egg on toast on the menu then? So, staff treat diners as people to fleece, are not interested in the concept of customer service, and a chef decides they don't do mushrooms and therefore customers won't get what they paid for or offered an alternative. A joke, and before someone pipes up about bringing it to our attention, I don't pay for the privilege of getting into a confrontation. And I repeat I review a lot of aces and even when leaving comments that reflect a substandard experience, I try to be fair and balanced. I wasn't given much option tables were left dirty and uncleared, so I can't even say it was clean.

Call prior to your visit. Avoid football crowds, quiz night, and other events. We visited on a Monday evening and thought that it would be quite ish. On that night, Bolton was playing, but also, they had a quiz night. It was extremely noisy. We had to meet a person who travelled 2.5 hours from down south, and we see her every other month. The only place they had available for us was under the TV. The quiz began, but also Bolton's match. We got surrounded by football fans. The TV was loud, and also the quiz. I had to ask for the manager 3 times to lower the TV, which she actually did. The food was awful. McDonalds has more to big Mac than the plain burger we had for the same price for about a tenner, or even more. The whole atmosphere was terrible, very average service, and awful food. Overall, it ruined our evening.

Lively pub, perhaps because Bolton football team were playing and showing on the tv. Had a good meal, friendly and helpful staff. All in a good experience and I would be happy to come back again.

I hired out my soft play for a customer at this venue. The manager and staff were very helpful, they respected our items and were very flexible with collection times. We also had breakfast the next day which was really good. Thanks again, Party Shack Ltd
