The most basic room imaginable, tiny TV etc. Shower room had a sloped ceiling so one would have to shower like a frog - didnt even bother as I was within 1 mile of somewhere to shower standing up. Can hear neighbour's TV and coughing etc.
Room was a bit tired & needed a refurb. The receptionist was brilliant, nothing too much of a bother, very helpful & cheerful.
This hotel is run to the ground beds are all well worn and dirty full of stains I wish I took pictures I feel sick just thinking about it carpets are all ripped and worn bathroom the same the whole place needs a revamp with new furnishings the restaurant has nothing to do with the hotel it was beautiful thank god as it made our 1 night stay more capable it's definitely a 5 star restaurant shame on the hotel it's a big let down people have said in reviews they were refurbishing last year as building work was going on the work was definitely not in the hotel it needs closed down and gutted top to bottom booking .com and other booking places need to take it off the market there is definitely no heath and safety in this building do not waist your money here also pets are aloud omg I wouldn't be taking min in there will never return...
First impressions never last. You enter the building and immediately think what have I done. Old staircase that's seen better days. The carpet is old and it all seems a little frousy. Reception and booking was an easy process. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The view from the room was fabulous. The bed was very comfy. In all, it was really hot in the room. I had a few minor issues with the room, but they were fixed straight away. Some reviews mention the carpets need replacing. This is true. However, it didn't spoil the stay. I would stay again.
Quite old fashioned decor with extremely loud stairs, floorboards have definitely seen better days. Checked in around 6pm but no-one on reception, someone eventually came after phoning. Room was very spacious but due to the sloping roof quite difficult for fitting furniture. Bed was lovely and big but was right up by the door. Same with the bathroom, items seemed squeezed in. Only had a bath available with showerhead attachment so would suggest calling ahead to check the type of room available. Hotel is located on a busy roundabout but the town centre was only a 5 minute drive
