Welcome was great. Lovely decor and friendly staff. well prepared and tasty food . Very small thing, when we arrived the fire was alight and while I was sitting by a window I was comfortable, however when the logs burned down the temperature fell. A further log would have solved the problem However this would not prevent me going again.
It was an absolutely brilliant experience to be there, and the food was amazing to eat although the burger was almost too big too eat. Apart from that it was 4.5 star meal. You wouldn't think a pub on the side of roundabout would taste so good but it does and it was cheaper than expected
Absolutely the BEST steak and triple cooked chips I have EVER had in my entire life! My husband is a qualified chef and agreed! The wine choices are superb! The fire is such a lovely touch, really made me feel as though I was visiting a true authentic old English pub! Warm and cozy, and the staff makes sure everyone is safe! Highly recommend the triple cooked chips. I will be back again! Can't wait for our next date night! Traveler's Rest can't be beat!
Could not recommend this pub more. My friends and I went to the zoo nearby then came for a roast afterwards - absolutely unreal roast trio (I even loved the turkey which is a first for me!) 10/10. We were served by Theo who had the best customer service and then Lisa who was lovely and bought us a whole tray of gravy when we asked for a bit more which made our day. And we were seated by the fire (we’d been freezing all day haha). Lovely people, I wish I lived closer as it’s honestly one of the best roasts I’ve ever had! Will definitely come again if we are ever nearby 🤍
The place was great. A little too warm inside but that was because the radiators were on. Very pleasant atmosphere.Average parking. When there are a lot of people, you may have trouble finding a space. The food was tasty and nicely presented. The only minus is the service - we got our main courses with a long delay, two tables who placed their orders after us, got them before us. Nevertheless, the place is definitely worth recommending. Nevertheless, the place is definitely worth recommending.
