Great bar staff always friendly, friendly members, good conversationalists I find, helpful committee members, worth being a member for this alone, plus club prices and easy parking.....
Great place to visit especially on a Sunday
Positives: Cheap drinks, Dillon (bar staff) friendly. Negatives: What I can only describe as a hostile, cult-like environment. Stared down from the moment my group walked in by most members/customers in an unfriendly manner with the exception of a few. Besides mentioned above, staff ignore newcomers and prioritise long standing members. A person in our group wanted to grab a couple packets of crisps and was the first one waiting at the bar, but was blatantly ignored while several other customers were served first. A very uncomfortable experience and I certainly will not be returning.
Good selection of beers and wine. Very friendly staff. Lots of room inside by having two bars plus decent size garden and under cover external area, with plenty of parking.
This is a private members club, owned and run by the members. It boasts having the cheapest prices in town. There all the usual pub/club games and sports to enjoy. High jackpot fruit machines (please gamble responsibly). Plus popular entertainment and beer garden. Meeting rooms are available for hire as is the lounge bar. (Good for hatches, matches and dispatches)
