You get what you see here rooms might not be great but the people are fantastic remember it's a very old pub it's got some of the nicest people you could meet
Absolutely brilliant place great staff very friendly and welcoming and the best bit was the homemade bread made into the best toast I've ever had compliments to the chef and most definitely the staff
Clean room with newly refurbished bathroom. We stayed overnight as we were visiting the Beamish museum. It is perfect for that as it's 3 minutes away so we had full days at the museum. We ate at the pub, the tartare sauce for the scampi was fantastic! The staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely use it next time we visit Beamish.
Stayed here with my husband and 3 children, Made to feel welcome during our stay... For the price we couldn't complain, we had everything we needed Including a travel cot for our baby! We enjoyed drinks In the bar along with games of darts. On our first day we went to Beamish, It was amazing, highly recommended! The following day Simon (the owner) suggested taking the children to 2 museums (Hancock & Discovery) both in Newcastle and both Free entry... A great day! We paid for breakfast each morning, it consisted of a choice of Cereal/Drinks along with a Full English which was delicious and tasty... On our last day we needed to vacate early, Simon made breakfast buttys for the journey along with a drink and crisp... Really appreciated this! We will be back again in the future and look forward to chatting again about our mutual love for flying, Thank you for an enjoyable break :)
