Stopped into The Stables on a freezing cold day after a long refreshing walk, sat on comfy couches next to a log fire for warmth. A gorgeous bottle of red with a dessert (Biscoff cheesecake with a honeycomb crumble and ice-cream) stunning atmosphere, very comfortable and inviting. Service is very welcoming.
Just experienced a three day Xmas break. Beautiful building & location. Room spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Staff were brilliant. What I found surprising was, despite the grandeur of the hotel, everything was relaxed & informal. My brother is considering it for his wedding venue. I hope so as I can't wait to visit again.
Booked for my mother and Aunt to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day as well as Boxing day at Bemish Hall. My Aunt is 92 and Mother is 87, they came home early after a poor service on Christmas day meal. Having to wait 4 hrs in the dining area before being served. Rooms were nice and area was lovely but sadly the meal service let them down.
Good location for Beamish Museum. Entrance quite grand and reception as a stately home. Rooms good. Antique style furniture. Restaurant good and breakfast very good all cooked to order. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were perfect. Helpful staff. Nice biscuits in room and bottled water. Plenty of parking.
At first sight this hotel looked lovely the gardens were beautiful and well kept. The room we were staying in was lovely however had a problem with the drainage system saniflow which was on our first night. The extra quests we experienced every evening until very early hours was a little stressful as interfered with our sleep so not a peaceful stay over all.
