Great all round, love coming in for a chill drink during the day or a karaoke and a drinks at night.
If you go in here, make sure you get bottles of beer, as the larger on the taps, we're awful, probably the worst pint we've all had in ages
Absolutely disgusting when your a regular and you get kicked off a table you are sat at. On a Thursday night The Coal Yard have a quiz, which we are aware of as times we have been in previously and there was reserved sign on certain tables but you was allowed to sit on them until the quiz starts, which is totally understandable as the reserved signs was on the tables before we went in. BUT and here is the BUT, when you go into your local and there are no reserved signs on the tables and when you are enjoying your evening a member of staff comes and puts a reserved sign on your table and says you will have to move when the quiz starts. This is disgraceful action, what has happened to the old saying "first come first served". When you spend a lot of money at several pubs this company owns , this is disgusting. The owners of this company really need to take a look on how they run their pubs. Not Happy, finishing our drink and going somewhere else.
The place wad filthy. Bar staff (1) ignored you as you walked in. A few people waiting but didn't acknowledge anyone. The toilets were awful looked like someone had pood on the wall. All this at 6pm on a Tuesday. Never again. We left our drinks as they didn't taste right.
Decent pub for sports and seating. Cheap enuf and comfortable. Worth a visit.
