Lovely little local by the river. Friendly place and decent prices for beer and food...unfortunately good weather couldn't be purchased when we attended!
Attending a wedding 6 miles from here, so we booked Bassa. Friendly staff, absolutely great room, on the small side but so cosy!! Bed really comfortable, actually pretty quiet considering road is outside. The beer garden offers a great view of the river. I'll be back!!
Great place on the river. Good range of drinks on tap. Iced glasses when having ABK Pilsner which is a nice addition
Slow service, very average burgers and poor kids food. Chips weren't decent but overall 50 quid for two burgers, two kids dishes and lime and sodas all round. Took forever to come as well! Lovely location on the river but that's about it. Should gone to the boathouse opposite in hindsight!
Looks a bit rough n ready on arrival but we had a drink and food with our 4 year old. Lovely location by the river and the food was lovely. Pizza excellent and chicken burger excellent too

The White Lion is in every sense of the word a “Traditional” pub. A friendly environment, a warm welcome and some of the finest ales the country has to offer. Regularly in The Good Beer Guide and has its own Brewery!
