Opened December 2014. Single roomed micro pub on two levels, close to the Upper Parliament Street end of Hurts Yard
U-shape offers feel of two distinct areas, with unobtrusive background music. Bar snacks. Minimal décor provided mostly by framed classic beer mats. Some parts of the premises date back to the 1800's. The cellar extends to Angel Row, and is possibly part of the Nottingham Caves system. Ongoing refurbishment by Magpie Brewery from Feb 2018, initially installing 5 handpumps to replace the barrels dispensing by gravity. 5 craft keg and numerous bottles available.
Well this is a hidden gem. A vibrant pub hidden down a side alley. Lots of laughter and a great atmosphere. Lots of beer choices so great for the real ale enthusiast. Staff were lovely and friendly. We were served quickly. I also loved the décor. Now I know where it is I'll make sure to go more often.
Great little place, excellent range of ales from local brewery's.
Wide and good range of beers. There's a choice of games (cards, board games) to play when having a pint of beer or cider etc. Unfortunately the pub was closing quite early on the day of our visit.
Well hidden gem right in the city centre. Great selection of beers and the bar staff know more than enough to help you pick the right beer. Can't recommend highly enough. Quiet in the early afternoon but presume it gets busier later.
Was told to come here by another bartender in another pub. Seems to be a place to get away from tourist trap establishments. It is away from a tourist road. There seems is a great atmosphere to this place. Aimee the the owner and the bartender knows her craft beers and ciders. Small place and very quaint. Great place to sit down and enjoy a pint with friends, family, or by yourself!
