Booked a table for Saturday mid afternoon . Not many in but it is a nice looking restaurant . We were shown to our table and that was it . Nobody came for a food or drink order . After sitting like lemons for 5 to 10 minutes I approached a waiter who said we had to order at the bar . Why you don't tell this to customers when shown to the table is beyond comprehension . Nice bar area and the girl who took the order was very good . The food came and was put on the table by a young girl without a word or a smile , practically rude . I will not write anymore as the whole meal and experience had been ruined . Was going to Banyan with 8 others between Christmas and New year but I have already made alternative arrangements . Unfortunately I could not recommend Banyan
Great place for the food and drinks. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was very fresh and tasty. Highly recommended!
The Californian sushi bowl seems to have been made by someone who has never seen a sushi / poke bowl before, unfortunately, and wasn’t great nor good value at all. I paid £13.50 for some slices of smoked salmon, a lot of picked veg, heaps of fry salad leaves, and a tablespoon of rice. It wasn’t very filling not particularly enjoyable, sadly. They offer a very broad menu that it’s hard to work out what type of cuisine they offer or what their speciality even is. Salad aside, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Busy place, service can be slow, and might have to wait for a while for food, and can be tad noisy. Otherwise, generous portions, food's ok, sweet potato fries tad burnt. Friendly staff.
A pleasant atmosphere and fabulous customer service from Eva. I wanted to try the new espresso as a latte, when Eva found out that they only had soya milk available she was very apologetic and even offered me a full fefund. I tried it anyway and I'm recommending this blend because it tasted as it was advertised. I'm giving 4 stars to Banyan and 5 stars for Eva.
