Disappointed, Hotel.com advised room available from 4pm, was infact 6pm. Had to wait at the door. The room was very cold. The bathroom was poor, unfinished wall decorations,wobbly toilet seat! Overall poor
Place was dirty. Smelled musty and unpleasant. Our room was dirty. And we couldn't find anyone to complain to. When we1st arrived the woman turned up with no mask couldnt see any sanitiser areas. When we got into roo. To check it over it was not cleaned like they said. Couldn't complain and no other rooms available in oban. And it was pay at hotel... this place had already taken money from Our bank account on day we arrived.. which we did not authorise.....we are going to claim refund as place was worst ever been in. And they claim to be 3 star and disinfect cleaning happens... it does not. Shower didn't work properly... mattress was flat(broken) in areas. Very uncomfortable.. on leaving still no.one available to talk to. Getting a 1star because a minus star option not available
Fantastic location and everything we needed for a weekend in Oban. Prices are great too. Room was clean, staff were friendly, bed was big and comfy. Everywhere you would need to go is a short walk away. There is a nice bar in it too. I don't really understand some of the bad reviews,I think people are expecting 5 star hotels while not willing to pay 5 star prices. I would recommend to anyone going to Oban and my husband and I would stay again. Parking is on street and pay and display but we found a car park nearby in the Rockfield Centre which was £5 for 24 hours.
My room was being put together. My original room had an issue (previous guest was the issue). They let me drop my bags an hour before check in too. My floor had been freshly painted so the entire room was put back together for me. It's clean & great windows. The place is shabby but for the price & location... Priceless
Arrived yesterday, lady at bar was very friendly but the room was filthy and in a state of disrepair. Toilet fifty dust everywhere. Handed key back and found a lovely room at St Anne's guest house Glengorm,
