Lovely hotel trip away. Such a pretty historic hotel with great views and central to get around and see the beauty of glencoe. Big shout out to grant who made our engagement weekend extra special with his attitude and attention.
Lovely room. Clean and well appointed. Being able to use the pool at the nearby Isles of Glencoe is good. Only slight complaints are the prices in the Fish restaurant and lack of vegetarian and vegan breakfast choices. No lift so elderly and disabled will find it a challenge.
This was the first stop on our honeymoon and the last time we will be returning to this hotel. Unfortunately, due to weather, we were a few hours past our original ETA and didn't arrive to the hotel until about 8:45pm. The Fish restaurant closes at 9pm and was able to squeeze in our last minute orders, but not happily. Also, we went into the lounge for drinks and it seemed to have not been cleaned all evening. There were dozens of dirty glasses everywhere. Customer service was not in line with what we thought it should be.
Lovely hotel. Room had superb views, helpful staff and amazing location. A complimentary Gin and tonic with a full ice bucket in the room was an unexpected surprise. We had a delightful stay.
Awful! Just awful! Our room was at the side of the hotel with a view to the wall of the building next door. No lift and creaky old stairs to the 3rd floor. The room was extremely small, could not fit in 2 suitcases so we cleared the desk and put the second suitcase on that. I did request another room but they were fully booked. The bathroom was well presented and we almost got wet in the shower. 🥴Very little water pressure, it only dribbled out. The food was very ordinary and presented exactly the same way each of the 3 nights we were there, and the service was diabolical! Well over 2 hours to serve up a 3 course set dinner. If you're planning a few days away in Ballachulish do yourselves a favour and give this quaint old hotel a very wide berth.
