What a great find!!! Owners are very welcoming, locals are friendly, and the house ciders are DANGEROUSLY DRINKABLE!!! 🍺🥴🍏 Just be prepared for the stairs when leaving, intriguing when going up them, not so much after a few ciders when leaving. 🤣 Great recommendations and I'll definitely be back.
Nice comfy place to grab a beer. The decoration is on point, badger lovers will be delighted. There's even an actual stuffed badger.
If you like great tasting beer then you will love The Badgers Arms. Last night I drank a pint or two of Cuthberts, @ 3.8% and it was delicious. If you want somewhere for a conversation and refreshment, this is the place. No flashing lights or needless distractions, just great beer, cider and gin. Conversation is always available, and well behaved dogs are welcome too. Very reasonable prices, and the only difficult thing is choosing what to drink! The lady and gent running the pub are also terrific, well done both. Additional: Just had Hedonism and wedding cake, what a combo. A very interesting establishment especially for someone from the big smoke like myself. What a great intimate village pub with great decor and very friendly staff I only wish we could have stayed longer but it’s well worth a visit 🦡
Great friendly micro pub in the heart of Long Buckby. 4 local ales are served in top condition, normally 1 dark one. If none of these take your fancy then they also have a good range of ciders, gins, a low alcohol bottled beer from Adnams and soft drinks. The pub is split over 2 levels. It used to be an Indian restaurant and takeaway. Upstairs is the bar and a split drinking area. Downstairs there are a further 2 drinking areas, one with a TV for important sporting events. Dogs are welcome except in left hand area upstairs. Water and gravy bones are provided. Customers are allowed to take in and eat takeaways in the pub, but downstairs only so that the smell of food doesn't spoilt it for the serious drinkers and your hosts! In my opinion the best pub in Long Buckby for range and quality of ales, which are currently £3.50 a pint, which is what I would expect in a true micro pub. Some of the original micro pub rules set by Martyn Hillier of the Butchers Arms, Herne, Kent, the first micro pub, are broken here, but if the Customers are happy who cares!
