The Badger is situated in a residential area approximately 3/4 miles away from the town centre of Chesterfield on Brockwell Lane. We are a Freehold, owned by local residents. Our goal is to support the local community promoting local charities and groups, serve great, good value for money food along with an excellent, well kept & varied selection of drinks in a friendly & relaxing environment.
We offer Cask Ales and Fresh Home Cooked Food in a child friendly environment - with our substantial grounds, play area and decking area we can cater for open-air garden parties to special functions either in our premises or in our very own 80+ seater heated Marquee.

Really like it here and the value of the pub being about community over profit. Only negative advertised until 4pm but then if you go about 3pm onwards they have run out of things on the menu.
If you want a proper Sunday dinner this is the best in town lovely hot food and plenty of give them a call and see for your selves 😉
Great family put with big beer garden and kids space. Food and beer very reasonably priced, a favourite local.
Yesterday we had our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration here for 30 people. We chose the 2 course Roast dinner for our guests. The meal was perfect and plentiful. The service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The dining room is lovely with great decor and ambience. Sheila and her staff ensured that everything went well. We had an absolutely wonderful celebration. I highly recommend The Badger.
A wonderful experience at the Badger 😊 We came as part of a pre booked function and had a wonderful time. The staff are friendly and diligently, the atmosphere well balanced with tasteful music at the right volume and the food was fantastic. As the awkward Vegans of the group we are used to being happy with what we get, however the Chef at the Badger cooked us a beautiful vegetable tart and our own vegan apple crumble. Every element was cooked to perfection with generous portions and timely service, the non vegans raves about beef, I can happily recommend The Badger 😊
