The bar is open seven days a week, with a roaring wood-burner, comfy tables and benches, a selection of games to whittle time away, a specialist gin collection with over 100 bottles on the shelves, and a fully stocked bar with local ales, international lagers and spirits to see you through.
The restaurant serves food all day. Sundays — proper roasts with all the trimmings available from 12pm‑5pm.
Stopped here for lunch again. Have eaten here frequently in recent years and it's a charming country Inn. The interior is nicely decorated with comfy chairs, and even a sofa facing the log burner! Lunch menu is more limited than dinner but still good choices (pizza and a pint for £11.50!) and meal for 2 with drinks was £40. Staff were lovely and the regulars always say hello too! Try it. There are also lovely walks nearby, a great garden and easy parking.
What a shocking , bad experience , pre booked a meal for 10 ,arrived and they had lost the pre order and had very few starters we had ordered, Food took an hour to arrive ,rude staff , bad service and tried to charge for food that that they hadn't served , worst meal I've had in about 20 years i wine be going vack
Evening meal. Limited menu, but food was very nice. Nice clean establishment.
Booked us in last minute, family friendly and food was fantastic (Sunday roast).
I like this place. Nice rooms. Good hospitality and good evening meal. Location loses 1 star as there's nothing else close and you need to drive but it does make for a quiet location.
