Went here for Christmas lunch with some friends in December. When I booked online there was only one slot available but it looked not that busy when we arrived which is a bit unusual. The menu was big which is great as we all have different tastes. The roast itself was tasty but the potatoes were rock solid, like maybe overcooked or sat around too long idk. The staff were great, super friendly and overall seems like a nice spot.
Pretty decent pub. It’s huge so loads of seating. A few good lagers on tap. The roasts was nice. Nothing to complain about
Reasonably nice. Service slow but not because of the staff who were working but for the lack of staff. Was sat under a speaker which was too loud to be sat under, although I didn't ask to be moved, so my bad.
Went on a Friday night, table booked for 5 people at 6.30. Guessing there were staff shortages as the service was so slow! Staff were friendly but waited nearly an hour for main course. Then had empty plates on table for 30mins (after staff apologised for delay to mains and offered free desserts, but then didn't make any effort to up the service levels), another 30mins waiting for dessert and another 30mins waiting for plates to be cleared and given the bill! There for over 3hrs for a main course and dessert! On the plus side, the food was actually delicious. Had the lamb rump with dauphinoise potatoes for main, and 'The Honey Pot' for dessert. Couldn't resist trying a chip off a fellow diner's plate and have to say it was perfect! So disappointed that the service let things down as without that we'd have left incredibly happy due to the food quality.
Came for a Sunday Roast Dinner. Very friendly and polite staff. Not too busy and pleasant vibe. Food came very quickly. Roast veg and each meat was very tasty but potatoes appeared to be frozen variety. Nothing special but still enjoyed it. Maybe a tad expensive for the area but good to have somewhere close by.
