Plume of Feathers is above all, a traditional English country pub. Serving the local community for over 200 years as a place to relax, enjoy company and exchange news and information.
We have a hand picked selection of fine ales from the local Buttcombe brewery and always have one guest ale, and a traditional cider. A wide selection of wines are available by the glass or bottle, and our top shelf includes quality single malt whiskeys and other fine spirits.
Exceptional food, can particularly recommend the pizzas and the lasagna, and portions are generous too. Lovely, cosy atmosphere and the epitome of an English country pub. As others have said, parking can be challenging.
Lovely village pub, welcoming, home cooked food to order, great quality and good portion sizes. A very enjoyable visit. Dog and kid friendly.
Had a lovely home cooked meal here with my husband, fab friendly staff and tasty food! You MUST try the tobacco onions. Great veggie and vegan options too. Perfect in hot weather, tables by the stream.

Nice pub with beer garden, beautiful setting with water running down the front. Suitable location for a stay near Coombe Lodge for weddings. However, there is very limited food service, may have been the time we were there so check ahead, but don't assume they serve food. Also there is limited parking, when you consider you need a 4x4 to climb the crater filled slope to enter the field car park. But the pub itself self is a classic pub, can't complain
