Popped in for a cheeky drink and bite to eat. I’m always a bit cautious/nervous with eating out due to being allergic to onion/onion powder, however Connor N was absolutely amazing. He literally went above and beyond to find something safe and onion free for me to eat and to ensure there was no cross contamination. Customer service at its best ⭐️please note this is a late review - visit was in August
Staff were very friendly. My veggie option for carvery was ready in the 10 minutes they told me it would be, which was good. Parsnips and potatoes very crispy and good. Good to get a Yorkshire pudding even with veggie option. Good that all the gravy was veggie. Could've been more cheese in the cauliflower cheese. Sprouts and carrots tasted from frozen and not fresh - a bit chewy. Our table for 3 was squished into the corner and not enough room for us to sit around it. Table behind us was too close and not enough room for us and the party behind us. One of us ended up having to sit at an odd angle on one corner of the table. It was table 9.
Christmas festive meal booked in advance. We all opted for carvery, had to wait for Yorkshire puddings, then for potatoes, all been given with delay, only some of us were lucky to get pigs in blankets. After all we have received some discount due to the food situation, so fair play for this. It is a place where we are not going back for a meal.
I went here on a few reviews I looked at ,I rang and booked a table just in case .we got seated and the menus looked good .I got the drinks 1 thatchers gold,1 cider zero (driving ) and a tea for my son ,I ordered the large carvery with pigs in blanket. my missus ordered the standard carvery and my son had the margarita pizza good service all round ...my only gripe was the food could have been a bit hotter but still worth a visit. there was plenty of seating and car parking
