Visited Bristol for a work trip and came to this pub thrice within a week! Super friendly staff, great pizzas, and affordable drinks. We also had the chance to attend a pub quiz which was conducted so well! Can’t wait to come back!
Food is quite good. Nice chicken burgers. Good product. Various beer reasonable expensive. Mixed local calm clientele. In the summer the beer garden out the front is a wonderful spot. The real name of this pub is The Cross Hands.
The best pizza and burger we’ve had in a long time! Would highly recommend the bee sting pizza and the dirty bird chicken burger - dodo lager is also great. Really friendly/professional staff and awesome venue.
Great pizza and pints! Good lunch deal with the margarita pizza for six pounds. I splashed for the salami, however, and loved it.
I’m a long standing patron of the Cross Hands and I think the refurbishment has been a real success. The food I had (Bee Sting pizza) was great and others have said the burgers are good too. My only concern, and the reason why it’s not a five star review, is that the Dodo beers brewed by Arkells Ales are poor in comparison to local Bristol breweries and I think that is a major thing when considering where to go for a pint locally. I also think that they are somewhat overpriced when compared to other local establishments selling better beers for less. I will definitely be in to eat but I doubt I’ll be enjoying a session of ale in there. Good luck.
