I’ve been a regular at the Flyer for a while now. And I’ve seen a lot of stuff come and go. However, Josh is absolutely bar far my favourite I have encountered so far. Not just the once, but multiple times I’ve drank in what I call my favourite pub. I genuinely feel like I’m talking to a friend of mine every time I come in, which makes me very proud to call the flyer my local.
Great atmosphere, food and friendly staff. Only thing I’d recommend is not turning up the music so loud, especially midweek. On the upstairs sofas it really blasts making talking difficult.
Shared some happy hour cocktails with my daughters. Friendly staff and delicious cocktails! 🍸 Very moreish. Comfortable and clean. Great warm atmosphere.
Nice pub with a good beer garden. Quite expensive but standard for the area. Food on the whole was really great. Chicken was well seasoned and tender. However the dessert let the place down. Clearly bought elsewhere and quickly warmed up before serving. Was 5* until I had the dessert!
Been a long time since I’ve visited the Flyer and that was only for drinks in the late 90’s. It has changed significantly and for the better. The food was excellent, I had the ‘The Boss’ burger which was quite a mouthful along with a side of sweet potato fries, which were extremely crisp and plentiful. Tuesday daytime meant 2 for 1 on the burgers so really good value on this visit! Great bar staff and a great pub. Parking sucks along Gloucester Road but that’s something we have to live with.
