Although this pub is known for its pizza, I came in for a colourful Sunday Roast. The beef was cooked well, as were the vegetables and pigs in blankets. The potatoes could have been more crisp, and the amount of beef/gravy was quite stingy. Service was fine. Friendly staff and a decent pint. Relatively quiet atmosphere on a Sunday.
Saturday night, empty with possibly one of the worse experiences ever. The gentleman serving us was new, lovely and tried his best to make amends for what was to follow. Chicken Pie had frozen (pink) meat as seen, pizzas were topped with cold mozzarella which the owner failed to realise left the pizzas cold. As well as that, some of the pizzas did come out cold. When complained wasn’t met with the nicest tone. There were only two other people in the pub on a Saturday night, a clear indication of the service and product here. Would avoid.
Went to the pub for the quiz and thought we would have some dinner at the same time. We queued for a while to get served. The vegan options weren’t that great. I had the pizza and my mate had the pie. There was no vegan cheese and it was very very dry. The meat eaters of the group really enjoyed their meals.
I can't say anything about the food, because I didn't eat there . Small pub . Nice staff.
I am Working in the Claremont in bath today, the food being prepared in the kitchen looked inviting and smelt amazing... So I ordered a personal one for my lunch. It was 2nd to none... So fresh and tasty not the like the commercial ones you get from branded pizza shops. The Claremont is spotlessly clean throughout kitchen is visible from the lower dining area and again it's absolutely pristine the attention to cleanliness and hygiene is clear to see Both George and Mark are really welcoming, this place is beautifully presented with pleasant outside spaces for smoking and eating. A real credit to these guys. The pizzas I ate was prepared by George... It Was excellent with Amazing flavour and really quick to the table even though there was a few others being ordered by customers. I would highly recommend if visiting bath and want some excellent food and drink.
