This was such an amazing pub and really enjoyed ourselves! Servers were very quick and sweet! The food was delicious and came very quickly! Got a quick table when we came in and sat down in a relaxing fairy light lit room with spacious tables! Would recommend to anybody! X
Had a lovely overnight stay here. Friendly atmosphere, welcoming & helpful staff, nice tasty menu and the cooked English breakfast was delicious. The hotel and accommodation is nicely decorated. Overall, great value for money & highly recommend it
Superclean warm room - we stayed upstairs in one of two rooms - others were across the courtyard. Food is good clean 'pub grub'. Close to Bath park & ride which is why we chose it.
This evening we enjoyed lovely Sunday meals, very pleasant spacious restaurant next to the race course, softly lit, very relaxing environment. The meals were plentiful and well presented. I had roast chicken, opting for the gluten free version. It comes with delicious sweet potato mash and roast parsnip as well as roast potato, the chicken was free range (good to know, there's often no information about the meat in restaurants) and was delicious. From a good range of deserts we all opted for the gluten free brownies, again good portions and utterly delicious. Friendly attentive waitress, no long wait to be served, comfortable seating. A very pleasant experience.
Great location for Bath racecourse. Food & service good. I found bed & even pillows extremely hard and uncomfortable . The room we stayed in roomy but shower not for anybody tall ! We regretfully stayed in one of the rooms above pub & had people going up & down uncarpeted stairs at 3 am & 4.30 am with downstairs door slamming shut with every single person who arrived & exited during the night. Found it very disconcerting how many people were coming & going. Obviously got little sleep.
